Nathalie is an experienced child educator who has worked at schools and nurseries across Australia. During that time, both of children and her have being restricted to a nursery setting where the kids spent limited time outdoors so Nathalie decided to setup her own child-led day-care centre.
Child Led - Nathalie loves pottery, cooking, crafts and adventures. Rather than deciding in advance which activities to run, Freedom French Family Day Care centres around the child. If the children feel like cooking, they’ll spend time baking cookies or muffins. If they would prefer to do arts and crafts, an impromptu pottery or painting session will be arranged. Child led play encourages creativity, self-expression and proactively involves children in their learning journey.
Nature Play - One of the biggest advantages of Freedom French Family Day Care is its proximity to Maroubra Beach. The centre has a strong foundation in nature play and thus maximises the time that the children spend outside. Most days will involve a visit to the park where children will be encouraged to connect and enjoy their physical environment.
Bilingual environment
- Freedom is Australian and French speaking nursery.
The centre offer a bilingual option for kids who will likely attend LCS in later years.
- Why choose a Family day care instead of a Childcare?
Care is provided in an Educator’s home that is warm, friendly and inviting.
Regular safety checks and visits by Family Day Care staff ensure that each home maintains acceptable safety standards.
Care is provided in small mixed groups. A maximum of 7 children at any time is allowed with no more than 4 children preschool age or under, including educator’s own children younger than 13 years of age at the residence.
The small group environment allows strong bonds and promotes effective early learning and social development.
